Investigation of the Lubricated Tribo-System of Modified Electrospark Coatings

This work presents the results of tribological tests Mo and combined coatings TiAlC formed using electrospark alloying (ESA) technology additionally processed thermochemical electrolyte anodic heating (TEAH). ESA makes it possible to form 15–20 µm thick on friction surface, characterized by a high hardness wear resistance. Tribological studies were performed testing block-on-roll pair under 300 N 600 loads. The duration was 180 km path, constant rotation rate disk rpm. It observed that torque during loading stable for all samples throughout entire period, whereas at loading, with coating had decreasing trend, coating, slightly increased. For reference sample without trend became drastically unstable. At both loads (300 N), highest cumulative wear, lowest. loads, is about 2 times lower than TiAlC, ≥1.8 control (not coated) version. study shows steel C45 more matched coating.
